New Balance announces the addition of industry veteran Chris Cohen as the National Sales Manager for two of the company’s performance brands, Dunham and Aravon. Cohen comes to the company with 17 years of experience in the outdoor, alpine and athletic business. As National Sales Manager Cohen will drive and manage both Dunham and Aravon’s U.S. sales teams, as well as oversee the brands distribution strategies and the development and implementation of retail focused promotions and advertising.
“Were proud that Chris has joined our team,” said Steve Ettridge, Division Manager of Dunham and Aravon. “His 17 years of experience in the footwear industry combined with his extensive knowledge of the outdoor and specialty markets make for a powerful synergy with both Dunham and Aravon. His strong understanding of the markets that Dunham and Aravon are a part of will undoubtedly enable Chris to make an immediate contribution to the growth of both brands.”
Cohen comes to Dunham and Aravon from Hi-Tec Sports, where he was the Director of Sales for the company’s Eastern Division. While at Hi-Tec he was responsible for managing all phases of the sales process including product, distribution, marketing, hiring, and training. Cohen began his career in footwear with The Timberland Company in 1989, and later returned to work in a number of sales capacities, where his last position was that of Eastern Sales Director for the Specialty Independent Division. Cohen attended the University of New Hampshire at Plymouth State College, and is a member of BSTA and Eastern Winter Sports Reps. He will be based in the company’s headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.
