Chums hired Grace Overby as marketing coordinator, enabling Maddy Morton to transition to the creative brand manager role, a newly created position.
Overby joins the maker of eyewear retainers and outdoor accessories from the customer support team at Smith Optics. At Chums, she is responsible for social media, assisting the external PR agency and supporting the marketing team.
As creative brand manager, Morton is responsible for print and digital media. Morton joined Chums as a marketing manager in Q3 of 2022, helping to guide recent marketing and creative efforts. Her education and professional background are in graphic design and illustration.
“The momentum surrounding Chums in 2023 was fantastic, and we need to level up our marketing efforts to continue to amplify our brand awareness and support our retail partners heading into 2024. Adding Grace to the team and empowering Maddy to spearhead our creative efforts are just two ways we’re accomplishing that,” said Ben Falkson, marketing director for Chums.
