Christy Sports, a ski and snowboard retailer in Colorado, today announced it will host its Powder Daze sale event that will kick off the upcoming ski and snowboard season beginning Labor Day weekend.
The Powder Daze sale will begin on Friday, Sept. 4 and will run through Sunday, Sept. 13. It will be held at 8691 Park Meadows Center Dr., on the southwest side of the Park Meadows Mall at the I-25 and C-470 Interchange. The sale hours will be:
* Friday, Sept. 4 to Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
* Sunday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
* Monday, Sept. 7 to Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
* Sunday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
With more than 40 locations throughout Colorado and Utah, Christy Sports has moved its entire selection of ski and snowboard inventory to one location. In addition, Christy Sports purchased excess inventory from leading ski and snowboard manufacturers, and will be able to offer consumers the best selection of products at the lowest prices. All previous year models, including skis, snowboards, boots, coats, pants, helmets and accessories will be marked 40 to 70 percent off. With such a massive amount of inventory, Christy Sports needed to rent out a location larger than any of their stores to hold the event.
“Traditionally, the Labor Day weekend represents the kick-off to the upcoming ski season, and is known for finding great deals on ski and snowboard merchandise,” said Keith Liefer, chief operating officer at Christy Sports. “We encourage our customers to take inventory of the goods they have at home, and then come check out our selection. During Powder Daze, we maintain our high level of customer service by offering a return policy on all goods purchased during the sale, and promising we will have the best selection of quality products at the lowest prices.”
Dan Fox, Front Range operations director for Christy Sports, added, “Customers can expect to find superior products at Powder Daze. Our event will feature ample free parking, and will be staffed with the best ski and snowboard experts, including boot fitters who will be on hand to assist customers in purchasing the correct products and sizes to meet their needs. In these tough times it is important for customers to not only get a great deal, but also make sure they are getting the equipment that meets their needs. That is what this event is about.”
Also during the event, ski rentals and season passes will be available for purchase. Reservations for season ski rentals will be available for juniors and adults. Customers will be able to pick up their rental equipment from the Christy Sports location of their choice. Exclusive discounts on ski passes will also be available for Copper Mountain and Winter Park, including a fifth day free when you buy a Four Pass. This special promotion is only available to consumers at Powder Daze through the Labor Day weekend.
Customers will also be able to enjoy discount food from Wahoo's Fish Taco. In The Lounge (an area filled with sofas), customers will be able to meet and get autographs from numerous ski and snowboard athletes while chilling out listening to music or watching movies from Teton Gravity Research (TGR).
Also onsite at the event will be various ski areas, including Eldora Mountain Resort, Jackson Hole, Copper Mountain, Winter Park and Steamboat. Representatives will be on hand to provide customers with resort information, including ski schools and other various winter activities. Leading ski and snowboard manufactures, including Burton, K2, Ride, Roxy, Salomon, Marker, Lange, Rossignol, Tecnica and Volkl, will also be onsite to answer any questions regarding the merchandise.
