Christy Sports acquired Grizzly Outfitters, the specialty outdoor retail and rental operator in Big Sky, MT. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Christy Sports, based in Lakewood, CO, has more than 60 locations in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Washington, and Montana.
Grizzly Outfitters has been serving outdoor enthusiasts in Big Sky Town Center for almost thirty years, seven miles from the slopes on the main access road to Big Sky Resort. The shop offers rental and demo equipment with retail, ski tuning service and a repair shop.
The store is the second for Christy Sports in Montana and compliments the slope-side rental and retail location added in Big Sky Mountain Village last winter.
Grizzly Outfitters will continue to operate under its current name and location this winter and will transition the store to Christy Sports next summer.
