Charles River Apparel, the manufacturer of outerwear and performance apparel, signed on as the premier outfitter for several community rowing teams and events at the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 18 -19 in Boston, MA.
As part of a 3-year, $200,000 partnership commitment, Charles River will be outfitting Community Rowings Row Boston team, comprised of youth from the Boston Public Schools, in custom Charles River rowing unisuits. In addition, CRI athletes participating in Head of the Charles Para events will be outfitted in hi-tech wicking t-shirts and warm-ups. CRI staff members working at the event will sport Charles Rivers popular Mens and Womens Stealth Pullover and Jacket.

In addition to providing apparel for the Head of the Charles Regatta, Charles River Apparel has provided gear for CRIs Row Boston program, which includes over 2,000 hi-tech t-shirts for Boston Public School middle and high school students who are learning to row through CRIs free outreach program.
With the Charles River as the inspiration for our name and the sculler featured in our logo, we feel a strong connection to the sport of rowing states Charles River Apparel owner, Barry Lipsett. As the only public access rowing facility on the lower Charles River, and as a facility that provides free programs to Boston Public Schools, military veterans and Para athletes, Community Rowing was the natural choice for our corporate philanthropy.
The partnership is scheduled to continue through 2016.
