Massachusetts-based manufacturer Charles River Apparel is donating 2,900 jackets to Christmas In The City, a Boston-area organization that helps homeless kids and their families.
”We are so appreciative of this generous donation, which will provide warmth to nearly 3,000 adults and children this winter,” said Jake Kennedy, founder of Christmas In The City. “In the five years since we’ve gotten to know Charles River Apparel, they have truly modeled what care in our local community should represent.”
“As a family-owned business, we care deeply about our community and helping families in need,” said Deb and Barry Lipsett, owners of Charles River Apparel. “We are proud to play a small part in supporting the incredibly important work of Christmas In The City this holiday season.”
Charles River Apparel has a long history of supporting charitable organizations with product donations, financial contributions, food, clothing and toy collections and employee volunteering. Since its founding in 1983, hundreds of thousands of outerwear items have been donated to charities.
