CenterStone Technologies, Inc., an international developer of web-based B2B e-commerce software, has announced support of the Safari, Chrome and Opera browsers for use with its leading B2B software solution. This means that users of CenterStone’s iVendix Software-as-a-Service (Saas) application, can now access vendor’s important B2B applications with a wider variety of options, including using an Apple iPad. In addition to use of the Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers, this step allows users increased options for accessing iVendix to check inventory, place orders and check the status of those orders.
“We are delighted to have taken this significant step towards technology independence and greater mobility,” says Dave Mathias, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Centerstone. “While others continue to work on apps, and functionality to be delivered sometime in the future, iVendix users can access their Vendor’s B2B sites, and use a vast majority of our ordering functionality now, on any assortment of tablets most notably the iPad.”
“It does not require any add-ons, and there will be no continuous updating of an app running locally on a user’s device. In the true spirit of Software as a Service, a user can open up a web browser, log in and you are off and running. We’ll take care of the maintenance” says Tom Detmer, CEO of CenterStone.
We understand the importance of mobility and being able to access iVendix from anywhere, at any time, with any device – that’s the whole point of having web-based B2B in the first place,” continues Detmer. “Whether you are in Los Angeles or Paris, and regardless of the time of day, users need to be able to access critical ordering information from any device they choose, whether it’s a computer at home, or an iPad while in a retail store. People demand this independence, we understand that, and now we support it.
