Camber Outdoors announced that they hired Tiffany Smith as CEO. Most recently, she was the chief development officer for the organization. Smith steps into the new role effective immediately.

Employees working at REI’s Berkeley, CA store have asked the outdoor retailer to recognize their intent to form a union, according to Berkleyside.org; this comes after employees working at REI’s Manhattan store in March voted to create the first union at the co-op.

Infinited Fiber Company Plans $420 Million Factory

Finnish recycled fiber company Infinited Fiber plans to build its first commercial-scale Infinna fiber factory at Stora Enso’s Veitsiluoto industrial site in Kemi, Finland’s northernmost region of Lapland. The size of the planned investment is around €400 million ($420 mm).

Smith & Wesson’s Sales Tumble In Fiscal Fourth Quarter

Smith & Wesson Brands Inc. reported sales fell 43.9 percent in the fourth quarter and 18.4 percent in its fiscal year ended  April 30. Earnings were also sharply down, reflecting weakening demand for firearms and inflationary pressures on costs.
