Cat Footwear, owned by Wolverine Worldwide, appointed Kelly Ballou, shown right, as its VP of marketing. Ballou joined the company in 2003 as a marketing manager for Cat Footwear and became the director of consumer marketing for Cat Footwear. Since then, Ballou has worked with sister brand Merrell recently as the senior director of brand marketing then for the past six months as the interim head of marketing for Merrell.
“As a veteran of the Wolverine Worldwide family for nearly two decades, Kelly is the perfect match to further build the Cat Footwear brand,” said Chip Coe, who was recently named global brand president of Cat Footwear. “Kelly’s deep understanding of the footwear industry and proven success leading Merrell’s marketing efforts positions her well to bring new growth opportunities to Cat Footwear around the world.”
Janice Tennant, the former CMO for Cat Footwear, was appointed Merrell’s chief marketing officer.
