Cassin, the Italian climbing brand, will be introduced to the U.S.
market in 2010 by its parent, CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment.
Climbing equipment and technical ice products lines will be shown at
the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.

In
1997, CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment acquired Cassin and has
developed Cassin into a premier and highly technical climbing brand,
according to a statement from CAMP. Cassin was started in 1947 by
another Italian and one of the most accomplished climbers of all time,
Ricardo Cassin.

Accordoing to CAMP, the Cassin collection being
shown will include upgrades to products in nearly every category
including the Nano 23 lightweight carabiner and the award-winning new
Stratos harness.

This year also marks the 120th anniversary of
CAMP Technical Adventure Equipment. The company remains family owned
and operated from its headquarters based in the small town of Premana
situated in the pre-Alps of Northern Italy.
