Cascade Designs won the Silver Medal for its MSR® MIOX point-of-purchase display in the “Design of the Times” competition at the recent P-O-P Times trade show in Chicago.

The display, which was developed by Concept Designs, features a solid wood base, 8.5 x 11 inch sign, and product holder that allows for consumer interaction with the product while minimizing theft. It was recognized in the “counter displays, recreation/sporting goods” category for its excellence in design and in-store execution due to its:

  • Ability to enhance brand image and integrate with its marketing objectives;
  • Effectiveness in its retail channel;
  • Creative use of materials, construction and/or design;
  • Unit cost and value; and
  • Ability to drive sales.

The annual competition is sponsored by the In-Store Marketing Institute and draws several hundred entries in 16 categories and 14 display types. The entries are judged by more than 100 leading marketing and retailing executives from across the United States.

“This silver medal is a testament to Cascade Designs' commitment to creating not only innovative products, but innovative display solutions as well,” said Tom Myers, merchandising manager at Cascade Designs.

The displays are currently being used by Cascade Designs' retail stores in the United States and Canada.
