Callaway Golf Company has re-signed European PGA Tour player Michael Campbell to a multi-year contract. Campbell, who captured his first major championship when he won the U.S. Open at Pinehurst last year and finished second on the European Tour Order of Merit, will endorse Callaway Golf woods, irons and golf balls, carry a Callaway Golf logoed bag and wear the Company's logo on his hat.
“Last year was such an amazing experience for me personally,” said Campbell, who also won the HSBC World Match Play Championship in 2005. “It helped a great deal that I had so much confidence in my equipment — especially my driver and golf ball. It's no secret on tour that Callaway makes the most technologically superior equipment in the game. That had a tremendous amount to do with the success I enjoyed last season, and I am extremely happy to be continuing my relationship with Callaway Golf.”
In addition to becoming the first New Zealander to win a major since Bob Charles in 1963, Campbell finished T5 at the Open Championship, T6 at the PGA Championship, and recorded five other Top 10 finishes last year. Since turning professional in 1993, Campbell has won 15 times worldwide. He has twice played in the President's Cup and owns a 3-2-2 career record.
