Burton Snowboards hired Gabrielle Sampietro as its first VP of Apparel, a newly created position that will head up the leading snowboard company’s four-season apparel business. Gabrielle will be based in Burton’s Irvine, California offices and will begin her new role on Monday, March 26.

“Gabrielle brings 25 years of diverse, international experience to the growing apparel segment of our business,” says Burton CEO Laurent Potdevin. “She created and owned her own successful apparel company, held senior level positions at multi-national corporations and has extensive experience with apparel development, sourcing, production and quality control. Her multi-faceted skill set and expertise will be a tremendous asset to Burton’s Senior Management team and the apparel crew.”

Reporting to Burton’s Executive Vice President and General Manager Clark Gundlach, Gabrielle is charged with taking Burton’s growing apparel business to the next level. She will create and execute the global strategy for the apparel segment and head all aspects of product development, including sourcing and merchandising. Gabrielle will also lead an apparel team, which will be based at Burton’s Irvine California offices in the heart of the board sports industry.
