Burton Snowboards recently added horsepower to its sales management team, strengthening resources at Burton's headquarters, in the rep force and the eastern U.S. sales regions. Here are the latest additions and promotions within the Burton sales group:
Craig Smith, formerly Burton's Director of Sales in Asia, recently assumed the role of Canadian and International Sales Manager. Working with Burton for three and a half years, Craig was based in Burton's Japan office until his recent relocation to the company's headquarters in Burlington, Vermont. He has in-depth experience with the Asian markets, including overseeing sales for all Burton brands in Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
Colin Madden is the new Eastern Regional Sales Manager for Burton. With a territory spanning from Maine to the Dakotas and south to Florida, Colin supports, creates and maintains relationships with Eastern dealers and reps, helping them grow their businesses.
Burton's Global Resort Manager Jeff Boliba will now head up sales in Burton's accessory lines, including R.E.D. helmets and Anon Optics. In addition, Jeff will continue to manage Burton's global resort programs and lead Burton's Learn To Ride program, which uses proven instruction methods and beginner-specific equipment to teach people how to ride.
On the rep side of the sales force, two new head sales reps recently signed on to Burton. Chris Bernard, the new head rep for the New York metro area, comes to Burton from the 44 Board Shop in White Plains, New York. Chris has several years of retail management and buying experience. Supporting Chris are reps Scott Keating and Anna Mastropietro. In the mid-Atlantic region, Denny Bruce is the new head rep. Reps Kimberly Williams and Tom Bishop will make up Denny's rep force. All of Burton's new reps have industry backgrounds, impressive sales records and a strong passion for riding.
There have also been some promotions on the rep front. Randy Hoose, who formerly served as a Burton sales rep in the New York City market, was recently promoted to the position of Eastern Technical Service Rep. Randy is based in New York state and now reports to Burton headquarters. Linda Hoefer, who currently works out of Burton's Southern California showroom, will now have an expanded role that includes sales support at Burton's national accounts.
In other rep news, Burton Rep Matt Hoffman's Midwestern territory has recently expanded to include Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa. Matt has also opened up a new showroom for Burton, R.E.D. and Anon Optics in Chicago.
