Patrick J. Burns was named Kellwood vice president of strategic planning and new business development.
“With an extensive background of over 20 years in marketing and general management in the apparel and consumer goods industry, Pat will provide the leadership necessary for Kellwood to continue its quest to build brands and capitalize on new business opportunities,” said Skinner. Prior to this new post, Burns served as chief executive officer of Kellwood's Gerber Childrenswear division, and president of Kellwood Intimate Apparel.
He joined Kellwood in 2002 as president of Gerber Childrenswear. Before Kellwood, he spent 14 years with Sara Lee implementing long-range plans maximizing brand equity and sales growth. Over the years, Pat has been directly responsible for developing product lines and tapping into new territories for market growth.
“Pat has been instrumental in developing new business and marketing initiatives for our Gerber business. His ability to look for innovative ways to acquire, retain and grow our customer base is what we are looking for as we continue to balance and further diversify our portfolio of brands,” said Skinner.
Based in Kellwood's executive offices in New York, Burns reports to Skinner.
