Buds Gun Shop & Range hired Steve Reed as its chief marketing officer. Reed is responsible for developing the company’s overall marketing strategy and direction.
“I am truly looking forward to Steve bringing his extensive marketing and industry knowledge to the Buds team,” said Buds CEO Joe Murphy. “As we work to grow our business, support our partners and provide great customer service, having the right members on our team is vital to our success.”
Reed joined the company from Daniel Defense, where he was the VP of marketing for the past five years, leading marketing and branding efforts. Before that, he worked in the same capacity for shooting sports distributor AcuSport.
In his nearly 30-year marketing career, Reed has reportedly gained extensive experience in brand management, advertising/communications, and strategic planning, having also worked in the consumer-packaged goods and healthcare industries.
Reed holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University.
