Brooks Sports will introduce the National MS Society Mesh Hat – a product it hopes can help combat multiple sclerosis and inspire everyone to run and be active. Customers can help the fight against Multiple Sclerosis by purchasing the lightweight, highly breathable National MS Society Mesh Hat. Brooks will donate a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of each National MS Society Mesh Hat to the NMSS.

“This attractive hat offers an additional way for our supporters to help raise awareness and funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society while they train, compete, and simply enjoy life,” said Patty Shepherd-Barnes, president of the Greater Washington Chapter of the National MS Society. “We value our partnership with Brooks and their support as we continue to pursue prevention, treatment, and a cure for MS.”

Joining the movement against MS, Brooks augments its existing “Run B’cause” corporate giving program by taking this first step toward building licensed gear for local and national charities advocating health and well being. The company hopes to continually add items to its product line that will be sold to supporters and bolster the fundraising efforts of these various cause-related organizations.

“Brooks has always aimed to inspire people through trusted performance of our products,” said Craig Vanderoef, Brooks’ apparel product line manager. “The National MS Society Mesh Hat takes inspiration one step further by giving people an opportunity to connect with this great cause with the hope of eradicating this disease.”
