Brooks Sports Inc. has signed a “groundbreaking” licensing agreement with Marine Corps Marathon (MCM). As part of the new partnership, Brooks Sports becomes the first company to manage production, design and marketing for all MCM licensed and commemorative gear. This year also marks Brooks Sports fifth anniversary as MCM’s footwear and apparel sponsor.
“Were honored to be adding a new dimension to our successful partnership with MCM this year,” said Jim Weber, president and CEO for Brooks. “We see this all-encompassing agreement as an opportunity for both parties to help raise visibility for this inspiring marathon, widely known as The People’s Marathon.”
The 28th annual MCM will take place in Washington D.C. on Sunday, October 26, preceded by the MCM Runners Expo from October 23 – 25, where the entire line of MCM licensed gear will be sold.
“We take pride in the enthusiasm runners have for The Marine Corps Marathon and we look forward to offering them the finest technical licensed and commemorative gear for all their training needs — while proudly displaying their association with the Marines,” said Rick Nealis, MCM Race Director. “This all-inclusive agreement takes the Marathon’s incredible partnership with Brooks to a whole new level.”
