Eastern Mountain Sports said it promoted Bob Mayerson to president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Ted Manning has been appointed executive vice president for merchandising and retail marketing, and Scott Barrett will assume the role of vice president, e-commerce/strategic business development.
CEO Will Manzer will continue to lead the company, working closely with this senior team.

Mayerson, who has been with Eastern Mountain Sports for more than three years, will expand his operating role to focus on the company”s selling and operating core competencies. He has over 25 years in operations, retail and financial management experience, having held key executive positions at both Staples and PepsiCo.
Manning, who has been at Eastern Mountain Sports for more than 17 years, beginning as a sales associate, will continue to lead the merchandising teams at Eastern Mountain Sports. Additionally, Manning will now bring his unique style and voice to the company”s retail marketing initiatives.
Barrett, who led the marketing teams at Eastern Mountain Sports for over five years, will be responsible for all online ecommerce and strategic business development.
“By appointing Scott to this position, we are putting a stake in the ground, signifying our commitment to ensuring that Eastern Mountain Sports emerges as a leader in multi-channel retailing,” Manzer noted.
Prior to joining the company, Barrett held key marketing positions at Major League Baseball, PepsiCo and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide.

Eastern Mountain Sports now has 64 retail stores in 12 states.
