Boathouse Sports signed a three year agreement to be the Official Apparel Supplier to the Empire Rugby Conference.  Syracuse, Colgate, Stony Brook, Fordham, the Merchant Marine Academy, Brockport and Binghamton rugby programs will all exclusively be wearing Boathouse’s Made-In-America on-field and sideline apparel.  As part of the agreement, Boathouse will also be building online Team Stores for each of the teams to facilitate the sale of officially approved fan apparel.

“The ERC is thrilled to be aligning with Boathouse for the next 3 years,” said Andrew Gheraldi, President of the Empire Rugby Conference.  “Many of our teams have been in their gear – and love the quality and durability. Plus, since it is made in the USA, their service is excellent. Boathouse will be helping each Empire Conference team build their unique look and brand, and will be working with the league to promote College Rugby here in the East.”

Boathouse's rugby uniforms and sideline apparel have quickly become the benchmark for collegiate rugby uniforms and team apparel.  Boathouse burst onto the collegiate rugby scene in 2011 and '12 on the backs of Dartmouth and signed a multi-year agreement in 2014 as the official outfitter of the Ivy Rugby Conference.  Boathouse also stepped up its support for the growth of college rugby in 2014 when it signed on as a sponsor of the US Collegiate Development rugby camp.

“We are thrilled to be working with such prestigious rugby programs and student athletes,” said Doug Tibbetts, President of Boathouse Sports.  “It is our privilege to serve these teams and outfit them in uniforms and apparel that will not only stand-up to the rigors of the game, but will also reflect the overwhelming pride these athletes have for their schools.”

Based in the city of Philadelphia since its inception in 1985, where it manufactures over 95 percent of its products, Boathouse has earned an exclusive customer base of schools, universities and teams.
