Boardriders, Inc. announced that Shannan North, president of commercial strategy and growth and chief brand officer, plans to retire.
North has worked in a leadership position at Boardriders and the Billabong brand for more than 25 years. North has chosen to retire and return to Australia to focus on personal business interests.
North said, “I am extremely grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the last 28 years by Billabong and Boardriders and am honored to have had a chance to work with so many brilliant people. I truly believe the future is extremely bright for Boardriders, and I wish Oaktree, Arne and the whole leadership team all the best.”
Arne Arens, CEO, Boardriders, said, “Shannan has been a strong part of the fabric of Billabong and the Boardriders brands and has played an instrumental part in laying the foundation for Boardriders’ future success. We thank Shannan for his years of dedication to the company and wish him success and happiness.” Arens will manage North’s role to ensure a smooth transition.
