BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. saw February comparable store sales increase 3.0%, including a benefit of 0.9% from the sales of gasoline and a negative impact of 0.4% dure to eh absence of pharmacy sales. Total sales increased 7.2% to $601.7 million from $561.2 million in February 2006. The company completed the closing of its in-club pharmacies during the month of February. Excluding the impact of gasoline sales and pharmacy sales, comparable club sales for February 2007 would have increased by 2.5%. For February 2006, the company reported a comparable club sales increase of 1.6%, including a positive impact from sales of gasoline of 1.9%.
