Big Rock Sports has opened its newest distribution center in Surrey, British Columbia. More than double the size of the companys site in nearby Langley, the warehouse dramatically expands Big Rocks capabilities.

Due to growing market demand for both the hunting and fishing businesses, we needed a larger, more efficient facility that would allow us to improve our customer service levels in the West, said Andy Melville, Canada Division president at Big Rock Sports. The Surrey distribution center significantly improves our inventory position and is the next step in our plans for growth across Canada.

Since acquiring Inland Pacific in 2011, Big Rock Sports has continued to invest heavily in its Canadian division. From warehouse expansions to people, inventory and systems, the company has financed a strong growth platform. The Surrey distribution center is a key part of this expansion. Built to enhance Big Rocks product offering and technology platform, the facilitys main purpose is to further upgrade the customer experience.

In the coming days, Big Rock will be hosting a customer appreciation event at the Surrey facility. More details are to follow.
