Bia, the multisport GPS watch maker, has hired OutsidePR as its public relations agency.  The brainchild of endurance athletes Cheryl Kellond and Sylvia Marino, Bia Sport is the product of a successful Kickstarter campaign launched in 2012 that raised over $400,000 in a little over a month.  Founders Kellond and Marino sprung into action building the multi-sport GPS watch that became available for purchase this past June.

Packed with functionality and incredibly intuitive to use, Bia boasts 2G cellular connectivity, 17 hours of battery life, water resistance up to 50m, quick-loading GPS, SOS safety alerts, wireless upload to online training logs and over a dozen workout modes.

We are thrilled for the opportunity to work with Bia Sport, said OutsidePR president Gordon Wright.  So often companies try to ‘shrink and pink their product for the female consumer.  Bia refused to adhere to this model and has truly created a multisport watch that is designed by women, for women.  And truth be told, its functionality is so impressive that men will be rushing to buy this watch as often as women.

Co-founder Cheryl Kellond said, Between OutsidePRs long history in the endurance space, frequent engagement with womens publications, and true passion for our brand, this partnership was a natural choice.  We are excited to work with them to add even more momentum, exposure and growth to our brand.

OutsidePR will represent Bia Sport product in both consumer and trade media outreach, and also focus heavily on the online and blogging worlds.
