The UK outdoor brand Berghaus confirmed the appointment of Paul Cosgrove as product manager for Berghaus Extrem, the company's most technical and advanced range of outdoor clothing and equipment.

Cosgrove, shown to the right ski touring in Greenland, has been working in the outdoor industry for 15 years.  He is moving to Berghaus from Montane, where he was head of marketing and product.

“Paul has an excellent reputation in the outdoor industry and is very well qualified to develop Berghaus’ Extrem range,” said Berghaus Brand President Richard Leedham. “He’s an active user of outdoor gear himself, so he has extensive understanding of what makes a product work.  Paul will be part of a great team and with his new colleagues, I am certain that he will deliver even better ranges to carry the famous Berghaus Extrem branding.”

Cosgrove said he's excited to join one of the UK's most iconic outdoor brands. “The Berghaus Extrem range already has an outstanding reputation and I am looking forward to working with a formidable team to enhance that and create something very special,” Cosgrove said.

Cosgrove is an active ski tourer, climber, trail runner, backpacker and bikepacker. He will be based at Berghaus’ global HQ in Sunderland in Northeast England.

Berghaus was founded in 1966 in Newcastle, England by two mountaineers who needed better equipment and gear for their adventures, and the company recently launched Berghaus USA and completed its first retail season for Fall/Winter 2014. Berghaus expects to be in approximately 85 U.S. specialty retail doors for Fall/Winter 2015.
