Berghaus, the outdoor clothing and equipment brand, has announced the appointment of Adam Field as its vice president of Brand Marketing. Field will lead the global marketing team, reporting to Charlie Pym, the company’s senior global vice president. He starts in his new role at Berghaus in July.
Field has spent the past 19 years working within global marketing teams across retail and sport, including Reiss, Nike and Chelsea FC, focusing on digital-first and brand marketing strategy. Field’s most recent role was as head of marketing at Reiss, where the projects he led included a multi-year partnership with the McLaren F1 team, Reiss’ first Pride collection in collaboration with Tom Daley and launching the brand on new channels, including TikTok.
Berghaus reports that the company “is experiencing sustained brand growth in multiple markets, building on its strong foundations in the UK.” Well-established across Europe, the brand has recently launched in the U.S. and plans to expand into more territories in the future.
As Vice President for Marketing, Field will lead the team responsible for developing and rolling out globally relevant brand activations and working with local teams and commercial partners to bring the brand “to life in the right way in every market,” the company reported in a media release.
Field commented, “From my first conversations with Charlie Pym and Penny Herriman from Pentland, it was clear that there’s huge energy, ambition and momentum behind the Berghaus brand, and a bold vision for what comes next. With global expansion and new innovative product launches, this role is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of an iconic British brand and disrupt the outdoor category. I can’t wait to get started, meet the wider team and be part of what’s ahead.”
