Bearpaw, best known for its fashionable boots, has appointed Jason J. Martini, formerly at Jansport, as its new chief financial officer.
From his new post, Martini will oversee manufacturing, planning and financial development for the company domestically and internationally.
Over the last 15 years, Bearpaw has developed an extensive line of footwear that covers multiple categories year round and is available throughout the United States and in over 45 countries throughout the world.
“With Jason Martini’s impressive background, we are very fortunate to have him join Bearpaw, bringing with him a deep knowledge of what is needed to transform the explosive demand for Bearpaw’s platform into a financially strong business,” said Bearpaw President John Pierce. “Martini’s previous success guiding financial teams in high growth and industry-leading companies will be invaluable and have an immediate positive impact as we evolve our commercial business and continue to expand Bearpaw.”
Martini, who holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Finance Concentration from University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, brings over 17 years of progressive financial management and analysis experience to the position. He joins Bearpaw after a 10-year tenure at VF, where he held various positions within the Jansport brand including Controller, Director of FP&A and most recently Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his stint at VF, he worked at Unilever Ice Cream, General Mills, and W.W. Grainger, Inc.

In addition to Martini’s arrival, Bearpaw appointed Edna De Pamphilis as the new marketing director, where De Pamphilis will spearhead the brand’s marketing and communications efforts. In this role, she will develop innovative marketing strategies and execute key opportunities to continue to build the brand identity. De Pamphilis brings an extensive background in marketing and sales, including her previous years as the director of marketing and communications at GolfBuddy and the marketing services manager at Brown Shoe Company. De Pamphilis holds a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, Social Behavior and Criminology and a certificate in marketing from the University of California, Irvine.
