Bauer Hockey was once again the brand of choice by the game's best players this season and as Los Angeles and New Jersey battle it out for this year's title, Bauer is once again the dominant choice in the Finals. In total, 35 of the 37 skaters that have played in the Finals use at
least one piece of Bauer equipment, including all 19 of the Kings who
have suited up for at least one game.
The sampling covers five major player equipment categories of sticks, skates, gloves, helmets and pants.
An impressive 86 percent of all skaters (32 of 37) in the Finals wear Bauer skates, while the next closest brand has just three players in its skates (8 percent). Bauer is also once again the top stick used in the Finals as nearly half (46 percent) of all players use Bauer. Bauer is also the top helmet (51 percent), glove (46 percent) and pant (57 percent) used in the Finals.
“For the past several years, we have been the dominant brand choice during the regular season and even more so when it's all on the line during the postseason,” said Kevin Davis, President and CEO of Bauer Performance Sports, the parent company of Bauer Hockey. “The fact that so many of the game's best players choose Bauer during the most important time of the year is a testament to our never-ending commitment to innovation and developing the highest-performing products in the marketplace. This time of year is always exciting and it's even more exciting for us as a company to see us once again chosen as the top brand in hockey.”
