Bass Pro Shopsannounced plans to open a new 75,000-square-foot outdoor superstore in 2027 along the I-10 corridor in Biloxi, MS. This will be the first Outdoor Superstore for Bass Pro Shops in southern Mississippi.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to serve the sportsmen and women in the Gulfport-Biloxi Region and are proud to become members of this celebrated outdoor community,” said noted Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris.

Since founding Bass Pro Shops in 1972, Morris has blazed a trail in the retail experience space. His stores cater to outdoor enthusiasts and millions of families known for visiting Bass Pro Shops because the stores celebrate the outdoor experience with interactive/educational experiences while offering top-tier brands in the hunt, fish, camp, and hike categories.

“Mississippi is proud to welcome Bass Pro Shops to the Lemoyne Landing development, a project that exemplifies the best of what our state has to offer — strong partnerships, a thriving economy and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.  Bass Pro Shops’ decision to invest in Jackson County speaks volumes about the region’s potential as a hub for economic opportunity and tourism. This is a win for Mississippi families, sportsmen, and communities across the Gulf Coast,” said Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves.

“Jackson County is thrilled to welcome Bass Pro Shops to the community. Bass Pro Shops is not just a retail powerhouse but also a community partner that shares our values of conservation and outdoor recreation. This transformative development represents a significant investment in our county’s future, and we are proud to play a role in bringing such an iconic brand to the Gulf Coast,” said Barry Cumbest, president of the Jackson County Board of Supervisors.

Over the past decade, Bass Pro Shops has donated over 10 percent of its earnings to support conservation programs in local communities and nationwide. At locations throughout North America, customers can “round up” their purchases at the register and online through the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Outdoor Fund to advance programs aimed at conserving habitat and wildlife, advocating for sportsmen’s rights and connecting new audiences to the outdoors.

The store will build on Bass Pro Shop’s signature shopping experience, combining retail with entertainment, outdoor education and conservation.

A team of artists and craftsmen will design the store’s localized imagery to reinforce its immersive outdoor theme.

The company expects to employ 125 people at the new store in Biloxi, MS.
