Bangers LP, a shooting sports distributors based in Birmingham, AL, announced the hiring of Jared Long to serve as the company’s director of merchandising.
Long most recently held the position as director of sales with Armscor Precision/Rock Island Armory. Previous to Armscor, he served in varying capacities within the purchasing department at United Sporting Company. Over his eight-year career with USC, Long moved through the organization starting as a marine buyer, transitioning to shooting sports buyer and ultimately serving as firearms category manager.
“Jared’s industry experience and relationships at the manufacturing level made him a sure fit within the Bangers L.P organization. As our company continues to grow, Jared’s ability to manage key metrics in P&L performance and vendor growth will afford Bangers the opportunity to expand even further into the years to come,” stated Merchandising Vice President Dennis Donahue. “We are excited to have Jared on the team here and look forward to his near-term contributions in furthering vendor expansion and category performance.”
