Balega, the manufacturer of technical performance socks, said proceeds from sales of Balegas Enduro Military sock will go toward the companys Veterans in Need project. The program provides assistance for those who have served in the U.S. military.

The company will be distributing the military socks at the Corpus Christi Navy Marathon in Corpus Christi, TX Mar. 22-24.

The running event is organized by Freedom Marathon, Inc. to raise awareness and support the needs of veterans and their families. The marathon will take place on Sunday, Mar. 24 in addition to other weekend events including, a health and fitness expo and 5K and half marathon races, with wheel chair divisions available for all distances.

It is an honor to be a part of events like the Corpus Christi Navy Marathon that so perfectly align with our Veterans in Need project offering hope and assistance to members of the community.

While proceeds from all Enduro Military socks sold throughout the year go to the Veterans in Need project, runners and spectators can purchase the socks at the event for $6. Balega encourages those who purchased socks to wear them throughout the weekend to show their support for veterans in need.

As part of Balegas Lesidi Project, Veterans in Need was developed in honor of Americas heroic veterans, both past and present. The project is the companys latest community initiative joining existing programs including, The Ethembeni Scholarship Fund, The InDuna Award, The Ubuntu Award and The Lesedi Bead Project.
