Starting at Baffin headquarters in Stoney Creek on January 30, members from the Canadian footwear & apparel company will be embarking on a 1000km,14-day cycling expedition around one of North America’s Great Lakes, Lake Ontario.
Baffin has designed the expedition to generate excitement and enthusiasm for the great outdoors, while raising funds for Amici, a charity that provides children from low income families the opportunity to attend overnight camps.
Biking approximately 100km each day from city to city, through New York and Ontario, the expedition team will also be stopping by elementary schools to share their experience and promote the benefits of getting outdoors.
“We can’t wait to share stories of our adventures with the next generation of outdoor explorers as we visit different schools. We are also thrilled that our efforts will go towards giving kids the opportunity to experience camp. Experiencing the outdoors remains at the core of what Baffin is all about,” stated Baffin brand manager Mark Hubner.
Baffin will also be taking the opportunity to test newly developed products in the traditional way of the company, through embarking on a tough expedition in the extreme climate for which Baffin products are designed.
The Baffin team will be accompanied by outdoor marketing company A for Adventure, who will be capturing video and content throughout the expedition.
The adventure is set to end on February 12, with a final ride from Burlington back to Baffin headquarters where it all began.
Baffin will be at the Outdoor Retailer + Snow Show raising awareness for this Charitable Expedition.
