Backbone Media, a leading active lifestyle agency, added Christine Carter and Doug Stuart to its team.
Christine Carter (pictured above) joins Backbone as a senior public relations account manager with more than eight years of public relations and marketing experience. Most recently Carter worked for Amelie Company in Denver, supporting clients such as the Colorado Department of Transportation and Babolat. Prior to that, she worked in healthcare, education and outdoor industry marketing. At Backbone she leads the agency’s Eddie Bauer and YETI Coolers account teams. Carter is a graduate of Columbia University, where she was a varsity track and field athlete and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Comparative Literature.
Also new to Backbone is Doug Stuart (pictured right), who joins the team following a stint as an account manager at Washington, D.C.-based Keybridge Communications, a public relations and public affairs agency. Stuart is an alumnus of Princeton University, a National Outdoor Leadership School graduate and an avid outdoorsman. At Backbone, Stuart works with Smartwool and YETI coolers in the agency’s Denver office.
“We are delighted for Doug and Christine to join our growing, talented Denver office,” said Janelle Huelsman, Backbone Media associate PR director. “Their combined marketing experience, exceptional writing skills and detailed client service will complement the great work Backbone Media is committed to providing our clients.”
Other recent new hires at Backbone include Bryson Ross, a seasoned public relations veteran from the bicycling industry and Sloane Brown, a former hunting and fishing guide. Ross and Brown are based in Backbone’s Carbondale, CO, headquarters.
