B. Robinson, which has made eyewear from more than 85 years, has hired Alex Webb as vice president of sales, Outdoor/Specialty at Revo, a sunglasses brand it recently licensed from Sequential Brands Group.

Webb started his career with Revo over 15 years ago and has held positions in the sunglass specialty business at companies including Luxottica, Bolle and Serengeti.  He returns to Revo with a strong appreciation for the brand’s heritage and a keen desire to further expand its reach.

“We are so honored to be involved with Revo, a brand with unrivaled heritage and a coveted position in the marketplace as a technology leader,” stated Cliff Robinson, president of B. Robinson. “Our job is to build upon the brand’s current success and we are so excited to have Alex, with his proven industry-experience and excitement for the Revo brand. His reputation of honesty and integrity are integral to our ambitious plans.”
Founded in 1985, Revo quickly became a global performance eyewear brand known as the leader in polarized lens technology. Revo sunglasses were first created by utilizing lens technology that NASA developed as solar protection for satellites. Nearly three decades later, Revo continues to build on its rich tradition of technology and innovation by offering the clearest and most advanced high-contrast polarized sunglasses available.

Founded in 1926, B. Robinson Optical offers licensed collections such as Cole Haan, Isaac Mizrahi, Ivanka Trump, Izod, and London Fog through its fashion division.  The luxury division of the company, Legacie, has partnerships with David Yurman, Judith Leiber, Betsey Johnson, and Kata Eyewear. In 2013, in partnership with Cynthia Rowley, the company launched Rowleyeyewear.com, its first standalone e-commerce platform.
