In preparation for another season of World Cup racing, Atomic Ski is pleased to announce the promotion of Jake Strassburger to its Race Department. Having worked with Atomic for three years, Strassburger fills the newly created position of Race and Promotions Representative for the western United States.
No stranger to the world of ski tech and tuning, Strassburger comes up from Atomics Western Territory Support Specialist, where he was responsible for regional demos, in-shop clinics, numerous ski tests, and various retail events. For the last two summers, Strassburger has also managed Atomics Mt. Hood Test Center and was most recently involved in managing a summer R&D program for Atomics new boot concept.
At his new post, Strassburgers responsibilities shift from retail to competition, as his new duties now include working with Atomics World Cup Service Team, attending US ski team functions, and supporting Atomic athletes in the freeride arena.
“Jake has all of the ingredients it takes to work at this level,” said Eduardo Guzman, Atomics US Race Director. “Hes been formally trained at the World Cup level, has awesome people skills, and his retail and backshop experience is extensive. Hes very qualified for the job ahead,” said Guzman.
In other Atomic Race news, more world cup racers continue to switch their equipment to Atomic. Beginning this competition season all Atomic US Ski Team male athletes will compete on complete Atomic Systems – Daron Rahlves, Bode Miller, Bryon Friedman, Jake Fiala, Justin Johnson, and Christopher Beckman will all be using Atomic skis, boots, and bindings in their quest for the Cup.
