The Eastern Outdoor Reps Association is expanding into cycling. EORA said its member reps will begin exhibiting mountain bikes and other cycling products at its shows starting this August as part of the organization’s mission to help specialty retailers.

To encourage bike dealers to attend the shows in Vermont and South Carolina, EORA is offering a $75 gas card to the first 50 who preregister to attend the show at www.eora.org. The company is also running ads in Bicycle Retailer.

Originally established to promote the traditional outdoor industry, the Eastern Outdoor Reps Association, has grown to encompass the greater active outdoor/lifestyle sector encompassing a wide range of categories including resort, lifestyle, specialty run, bike, paddle and snowsports. Several EORA members carry product lines that are applicable to the bike market and asked the association to include and dedicate resources towards servicing the needs of specialty bike retailers.

The first show will take place at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, SC from Aug. 17-19, while the second show will take place at the Grand Resort Snow Shed Lodge and Rams Head in Killington, VT from Aug. 25-27.

Retailers attending the Killington show will also be able to test ride bikes all three days of the show through a Bike Demo
