Arc’teryx Equipment, Inc. opened its first Arc’teryx Store in Montreal, Quebec – located in the city’s well-known Ste-Catherine Street shopping district. The 4,500 sq. ft. store is the brand’s first venture into full-scale retail. Housed within the Concordia University Design and Engineering building, the store features custom-built stainless steel floor merchandisers and interactive informational kiosks.

Larry Pluimer, director of consumer sales for Arc’teryx, said that the company chose Montreal as a location, because they wanted to test the Arc’Teryx retail concept in a separate location from their headquarters in Vancouver. “Montreal seemed like a natural place to start; it has a large, active outdoor community and a high degree of appreciation for design and fashion,” Pluimer said.
