Amphipod announced the appointment of Linda Glassel as vice president of marketing, athlete programs and brand engagement. The addition of Glassel builds upon the company’s momentum and innovation leadership position in the road and trail running hydration and training accessory product categories and will enhance traction for the company’s retail partners while driving more consumers across the country into specialty stores for brand’s the premium collections.

Glassel comes to Amphipod with more than 25 years of sports marketing, communications, and athlete experience driving business growth, leading brand campaigns, revolutionary new product launches, and strategic partnerships across sports and lifestyle brands.

Glassel joins Amphipod after most recently serving as a vice president of operations for Back on My Feet, a national nonprofit that uses the power of running and community to help combat homelessness. Subsequently she served as vice president of global marketing at Prince Sports, helping to catapult the brand to the #1 position in specialty tennis, including the signing of professional athletes such as Maria Sharapova, Michael Chang, John Isner and hundreds of others notable players. Glassel has also held prominent marketing and brand positions with Wilson Racquet Sports and Maui Jim Sunglasses, successfully integrating and activating major sponsorship programs and partnerships in the tennis, golf and running segments while also working with Fortune 500 companies as national and global partners. Glassel also sits on several advisory boards in the nonprofit and B Corp sectors.
