American Sporting Goods saw sales climb 31.5 percent in 2010, to $231.7 million from $176.2 million, according to a filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission from its new parent, Brown Shoe Co.
Net income reached $15.0 million, up from only $354,000 in 2009.
Gross profit grew to $87.6 million from $63.0 million. SG&A expenses increased slightly to $62.0 million from $58.4 million. Interest expense was reduced to $743,000 from $1.2 million.
