Amerex Group Inc., one of the largest private U.S. based manufacturers of outerwear for men, women and children, announced that it has hired Kathleen McVey, noted performance apparel designer for its Gerry, Mambosok, and Bombshell brands. In her new position, she will be responsible for the design and development of technical performance outerwear, line planning, SKU management, sourcing and maintaining margin objectives. She will report to Grace Lissauer, vice president of merchandising and design.
“We are excited to have Kathleen develop Gerry into a premier performance outerwear brand,” said CEO, Glenn Palmer. “Kathleen has proven success in innovative design development, brand building, and leadership. She is a key addition to the Gerry team and to our efforts to build this brand into a market leader.”
Ms. McVey joins Amerex Group from London Fog Industries where she was the senior designer for Moonstone Mountain Equipment, Pacific Trail Performance, and Black Dot. Prior to joining London Fog, she was a product manager at Fast Clothing. Earlier, she was a merchandising manager at Marithe & Francois Girbaud as well as having served in the same capacity at Code Blue Jeans.
