Ahnu Footwear, a division of Deckers Outdoor Corp, announced the arrival of its Made in the USA line, which hits retail shelves this month. In an effort to bring manufacturing efforts back to the United States, Ahnu decided to kick-off that movement with two all vegan additions to their yoga lifestyle collection.
The Karma Textile and Karma Mesh yoga shoes mark the beginning of Ahnu joining the manufacturing renaissance the outdoor industry is beginning to see. Ahnu selected high quality materials to be shipped here, then cut, lasted, stitched and assembled entirely at the California based factory.
“We are thrilled to finally offer not only an entirely vegan product, but footwear that is produced right here in the United States,” said Jacqueline Van Dine, Vice President of Ahnu, “By importing the very best materials to go through production here in the U.S., we are able to offer our customers a product that they not only feel good in, but feel good about purchasing.”
The Karma Mesh and Karma Textile are an entirely vegan product, down to the non-animal based glue used to assemble. These two styles complement Ahnu’s Escape line, which offers a variety of yoga lifestyle footwear including the original Karma, which comes in Nubuck leather and suede.
Both the Karma Mesh and Karma Textile shoes retail at $90 and are currently available for purchase online and in-stores.
