Aetrex Worldwide Inc. is further expanding its global reach with the addition of Gerimais to its extensive network of distribution partners. Gerimais marks the company’s 16th international distributor.
Aetrex’s roster of distributors grew two-fold in 2016, a surge that included successful appointments in both South Africa and Taiwan. The company has its sights on up to seven new appointments of distribution partners before the close of 2017.
“Aetrex is experiencing healthy and deliberate growth globally that can be attributed to its alignment with the right strategic partners, and overall awareness for the wellness movement where Aetrex has spent seven decades building a ubiquitous position,” said vice president of international business development, Peter Malkin. “Today, Aetrex is distributed in 37 countries with an expanding suite of products and technology that has nothing but opportunity in front of it.”
As a 71-year-old family-owned company, Aetrex is a quiet leader in its category, sustaining growth in an otherwise challenging retail environment. Continual investments, including more than a dozen full-time employees to its Israel technology development facility, as well as the recent acquisition this year of Sols, has helped the company stay in front of the curve as well as optimize its supply chain and operations globally.
After more than two years of research and development, Aetrex will introduce its proprietary 3D foot-scanning device, Albert, to retailers worldwide this June. This first-of-its-kind technology gives customers a 3D digital analysis of the foot, providing an accurate read in size, pressure and arch type. The Aetrex team recently visited Israel to showcase the new Albert technology to 30 global distribution partners setting momentum for the launch.
“I’m thrilled that we are well positioned to serve our partners’ businesses and support the brand’s long-term growth globally,” said Larry Schwartz, CEO at Aetrex. “Aetrex has made a significant investment over the years in sustaining international business with more than 10 new product developments across categories in the last year alone. It is an exciting time for our company and we’ve only begun to realize the potential of our business globally.”
Aetrex is renowned for its over-the-counter Lynco Orthotics, the world’s #1 foot orthotic system. It has remained privately owned by the Schwartz family for three generations.
