Adidas, USA Volleyball and Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) announced the first Adidas Volleyball Experience. The event is free and open to current high school women’s volleyball players.
The country’s top high school and club volleyball athletes are invited to test their skills in four key drills including standing reach, block touch, approach touch, and pro-agility shuttle. The Adidas Volleyball Experience will provide participants with accurate, verified stats needed for college recruiting and to increase exposure with college coaches.
The Adidas Volleyball Experience is geared toward high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The event series will take place in three cities across the U.S., starting on March 15 in Denver. The tour will continue through May 2019 with stops in Chicago and Portland (OR).
“We’re excited to partner with Adidas and USA Volleyball to offer a one-of-a-kind experience for volleyball student-athletes,” said NCSA VP of Events and Partnerships Izell Reese. “At NCSA, our priority is making sure that athletes and families have exactly what they need to be successful in the recruiting process. These events provide valuable stats and exposure to hopefully get noticed by the right coach and find the right school.”
“We believe that through sports, we have the power to change lives, and we’re looking forward to partnering with USA Volleyball and NCSA to provide these student-athletes with the tools they need for increased visibility and new opportunities,” said Christine Shelby, Director of Adidas Volleyball. “Our mission is to help athletes perform better and we seek to inspire through our products, our style and in communities. The Adidas Volleyball Experience is a tremendous way for us to help the next generation of creators realize their vision and find success in sport and academics at the next level.”
“USA Volleyball is pleased to support this initiative with two of our valued partners, Adidas and NCSA, and provide young athletes the opportunity for no-cost physical testing at USA Volleyball events across the United States,” said Jamie Davis, CEO of USA Volleyball. “In addition to competing against the best in the country, athletes will also be provided individual, verified statistics that are invaluable in the college recruiting and high-performance process.”
USA Volleyball is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of volleyball in the United States and is recognized as such by the Federation Internationale de Volleyball and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) is the world’s largest and most successful college athletic recruiting network and the official recruiting partner of USA Volleyball.
The Adidas volleyball experience is produced by NCSA parent company Reigning Champs, the market leader in providing path-to-college services to student-athletes.
