Adidas has signed a multi-year partnership with Kansas City Chiefs top draft choice safety Eric Berry. The former University of Tennessee All-American was one of the most explosive and dominant defensive players in college football. Berry was selected fifth overall and the first defensive back taken in the 2010 NFL Draft.
As one of the new faces of adidas football, Berry will join the brand’s NFL roster which includes fellow 2010 top draft choice C.J. Spiller of the Buffalo Bills, Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints and Mario Williams of the Houston Texans.
“Im very excited to continue my relationship with adidas,” said Berry. “I wore the three stripes at Tennessee and feel very comfortable in the gear. I am confident adidas products will help me take my game to an even higher level in the NFL.”
A three-year starter at Tennessee, Berry won the Jim Thorpe Award, presented annually to the nation’s best defensive back. A two-time unanimous All-American, Berry also won the Jack Tatum Award as the top defensive back and was a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Award and Chuck Bednarik Award, honoring the best defensive player in the country.
