Adidas Outdoor has been named the Official Approach Shoe Sponsor for the American Mountain Guides Instructor Team in 2015. Adidas Outdoor will provide its Terrex Scope and Terrex Scope GTX to 50 guides.

“We greatly benefit from the input we receive from the very experienced AMGA guides who have participated in our product testing and review process,” said Greg Thomsen, managing director of Adidas outdoor U.S. “Many of the guides’ comments have been incorporated into our next-generation designs. We look forward to being part of the AMGA family.”

In addition to partnering with the AMGA Instructor Team, Adidas Outdoor will support the AMGA’s internationally recognized education, training and certification program for aspiring and professional guides.

“The relationship is mutually beneficial,” said Betsy Winter, AMGA executive director. “The Adidas Outdoor brand will reinforce its established connection with the most expert group of outdoor professionals in the United States, while AMGA instructors will have access to premier footwear specifically engineered for their daily on- mountain pursuits.”
