Adidas will exclusively launch the Adizero Prime Boost LTD at Kith this weekend. Kith NYC is a footwear boutique owned by Ronnie Fieg. Launched in 2011, the stores have become the go-to destination for those involved in streetwear culture in the New York City area. Kith also has a location in Miami.
Fieg is known for his footwear collaborations, a talent he began developing in 2007 at the age of 25 when he was handling special make-ups and product collaborations for David Z, the iconic New York City sneaker store owned by his uncle, David Zaken.
His collaborations over the years, including with Adidas, Asics, New Balance, Columbia, Timberland and Capita snowboards, were showcased at his 2016 fashion show, Kithland. The New York Fashion Week event featured three themes — City, Mountain and Beach — to signal his intention to move Kith beyond its streetwear roots with both design direction as well as destination.
The Adizero running silhouette is part of a long lineage of record-setting performance footwear – worn in seven of the 10 fastest marathon times. The shoe’s progressive silhouette features tooling that is identical to that of the Adios, which has amassed 86 marathon wins.
The limited-edition shoe is a low-profile neutral runner with a full Boost midsole designed for racing and fast training. This limited-edition running shoe features a full Primeknit upper with no tongue for a premium fit experience, while allowing different lacing techniques for both function and style. The combination of Boost and Primeknit provides a lightweight and responsive experience.
The Adizero Prime LTD will be available for $200 at Kith stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Miami, with select pairs at kith.com and adidas.com, on Saturday, May 6 in three colorways including Mystery Blue, Energy Red and Olive Green.
