Active.com, the online community that connects people with the sports and activities, announced the launch of its first-ever online affiliate program which allows online marketers and publishers to earn revenue by directing consumers to register for activities they are interested in on Active.com. In turn, the new affiliate program enables Active Network to broaden its audience reach by promoting participatory events to active consumers through consumer sites such as Eventful, Shape, and more than 100 others who have already joined the program.
The newly-launched online affiliate program provides registered affiliate websites with access to thousands of events, activities, youth camps, golf tee times, campgrounds and more from the Active.com database. Affiliates can choose one of three ways to incorporate Active.com events into their online properties from a simple banner ad, to a dynamic and customizable widget, to an API that provides the affiliate partners with the greatest control over how the Active.com events are presented on their sites. Once the consumer registers for an event or activity through Active.com, a referral commission is sent to the affiliate.
