Accell Group announces that Tunturi, a subsidiary of Accell Group NV, has launched its own organization for the sale and distribution of fitness equipment in Germany. Accell decided to take this step partly due to the fact that the current distributor in Germany, Bremshey, was in financial difficulties.
Out of the bankruptcy procedure of Bremshey, Tunturi acquired the rights to the Bremshey brand name as well as several distribution rights to other fitness products. The Bremshey label is already sold through Tunturi's own organisation in the Netherlands and England. The new Tunturi sales organisation in Germany is expected to contribute around EUR 8 million to Accell Group turnover on an annual basis.
