Academy Ltd., dba Academy Sports + Outdoors, will open the company’s first stores in Matthews, NC and Winston-Salem, NC, this summer. The company recently opened the first store in New Bern, NC, last month.
“We are excited to offer active-minded families in Matthews and Winston-Salem their own Academy Sports + Outdoors location to shop for all their sports, outdoor and lifestyle needs at everyday low prices,” said Sam Johnson, Academy Sports’ executive vice president of retail operations. “We’re looking forward to opening this year and being an active member of these communities for years to come.”
Academy Sports + Outdoors has more than 245 locations.
