Climber Beth Rodden took her passion beyond normal bounds when she was 19 years old. Branching out from competitions, she joined Tommy Caldwell, Jason Singer and John Dickey to climb bigwalls in Kyrgyzstan. The climbers were kidnapped by Islamic militants, and spent six harrowing days before Caldwell pushed their captor off a cliff, allowing them to escape.
In a video by Outdoor Research, Rodden talks about her life of climbing, being kidnapped and motherhood.
